A guide dog threw itself in front of a bus to save its blind owner
A LOYAL GUIDE dog threw himself into the path of an oncoming bus to protect his blind owner from injury.
Audrey Stone and her guide dog Figo were walking in Brewster, New York on Monday morning when Figo spotted a school bus heading straight towards them.

According to the Hudson Journal News, his instinct kicked in and he jumped in front of the vehicle, shielding Stone from injury.
An eyewitness said:
Stone fractured her elbow and ankle and broke three ribs – and police chief John Del Gardo told CBS that Figo would not leave her side until the emergency services arrived.
The golden retriever injured his leg in the incident, but is all patched up and on the mend. Look at him there, happy out:
